Hear Clare and Kerstin Thompson of KTA speak at a free Parlour event this Saturday, 15 Oct 2016, 4.30pm–6.30pm at MPavillion.
"Join Parlour for a convivial afternoon of conversation and connection over a glass of wine. Casual and welcoming, this spring salon is the first of Parlour’s seasonal salons—supported by Parlour partner AWS—an opportunity for the women of Melbourne architecture to meet, form new networks and relationships. Emerging or established, all are encouraged to join in at MPavilion. This afternoon at MPavilion begins with a short public conversation between two women of different backgrounds and shared experiences, Kerstin Thompson of KTA and Clare Cousins of Clare Cousins Architects who will ‘set the scene’ before opening-up the conversation—new connections and insights will emerge! Join us at MPavilion along with Parlour for this MTalks event."

The profile of apartment dwellers in Australia has changed, no longer is an apartment a transitional point to save for the detached suburban home. Melbourne is increasingly adopting international housing philosophies where buyers now look to a lifetime of higher density living. The combined pressures of increasing property prices and congested linkages to outer suburbs is incentivising people to look to higher density living options in order to be close to the cultural and commercial offerings of the inner city.
