Clare Cousins Architects has designed a contemporary office building which will accommodate up to 16 tenancies across five storeys and 1,706m2 of net floor area.
Environmentally sustainable building initiatives and functional use of space drive the concept design. Private and communal outdoor decks provide breathing room for the building and its occupants and alternative transport options to the car will be encouraged.
The design is carefully considered to complement the existing industrial neighbourhood. A deep saw-toothed roof form provides a link to the site’s industrial past and the articulated brick podium presents an active and engaging street interface. A ground floor cafe tenancy has been designed as a dynamic community meeting place to service a primarily industrial neighbourhood with few cafe options.
